AI Mode Cleaner privacy policy
In short
- It reads your AI Mode chat list to put checkboxes, pins and an age filter next to it.
- Deleting and pinning are requests to Google from your own signed-in tab.

What the extension reads
On Google search pages in AI Mode, it reads the list of your AI Mode chats: their titles, Google’s internal IDs for them, whether each is pinned and when it was last changed — the last one is what the age filter and automatic clearing go by. A chat title can contain what you asked Google, so we treat it as your search history.
What it sends, and to whom
Only Google. To show your full list, to delete the chats you picked and to pin or unpin a chat, the extension sends requests to Google from the tab where you are already signed in, using that session. Automatic clearing, if you turn it on, sends the same delete requests when you open AI Mode. Google handles all of these under Google’s own privacy policy. Nothing is sent to etcetera or to anyone else.
What it stores
One setting: after how many days old chats are cleared automatically — off unless you turn it on. It is kept through the browser’s own storage. If you are signed into your browser with sync switched on, the browser copies it to your browser account — that is a transfer to Google or Microsoft under their own terms, not to us. No record of what you deleted, no analytics, no crash reports.
Where it runs
Only on Google Search pages: www.google.com/search and the same address on Google’s country domains, such as www.google.de or www.google.com.vn — 187 in all, because AI Mode works on every one of them. That is why Chrome says the extension can read and change your data on a number of websites and lists Google’s domains. It runs on no other site.
